Established in November 2014, ESH Gallery represents international artists whose artworks engage the conception of space and natural elements. With an emphasis on contemporary ceramics, metalwork, glass and organic materials (such as paper and lacquer), ESH’s artists practise traditional techniques that cross the boundary between art and design. Since its inception, the focus of the majority of the shows at the gallery has been on Japanese aesthetic ideas. ESH works with international artists including several LOEWE Craft Prize finalists, and many others whose artworks are exhibited in major museums all over the world.
