Cornish Coastline Tapestry About
Through these tapestries I aim to connect the viewer with the world around them. Here in Cornwall we are surrounded by seascapes and coastlines. I regularly take for walks along the coast, stopping to sketch or photograph a view. I love separating the foreground, centre, then background, using the natural rhythm of weaving (grid and lines) to build up the image. The beach quite often is blown into waves of valleys and shallow pools, which reflect the light, sea and foliage.
