Bishop Crozier for the Bishop of Stepney London About
This was a collaboration with 3 other craftspeople to design and make the crozier, my part being to design the hook. The bishop initially gave me poem by Gerard Manley Hopkins, as Kingfishers Catch Fire, a picture of a traditional crozier, a piece of jewellery with a textured finish that she liked and an image of a kingfisher in flight which she wanted me to develop to be more in the shape of a cross. I then used these elements to design and make the final piece
