After studying French and Spanish at UCL, with a special focus on Latin American cinema, she completed an apprenticeship in ceramics with zero-waste pottery studio, Pottersthumb. In 2021, she began to focus specifically on ceramics and textiles, and the ways in which craft can be used as a tool to widen access to the creative arts and facilitate community engagement.Focus:clay, ceramics and crochetI try as much as I can to use second-hand, found and waste materials in my work. I am currently making work with wild London clay that I have processed and have incorporated glazes made from waste ashes into my practise. I try to only fire a small amount of work that I produce, instead harnessing that the same piece of clay can be recycled and reformed perpetually until it is fired.AboutKizzy Rose Budd is a maker and craft educator from London, UK.
