How to Apply
To apply for this role, you need to be someone who: is an experienced Deaf and hard of hearing artist (ideally a BSL user) who has creative producer and project management skills; has experience of working creatively with young people; is able to work in Birmingham in-person; has a range of skills including digital ones; is engaged with the Climate Emergency; is interested in craft and activism; and is interested in intersectionality. Intersectionality is the way that overlapping social identities (gender, race, class, sexuality, ability, religion etc.) can impact individual experience.
To apply, you will need to email a completed application form or a video (maximum 6 minutes) answering the same questions to info@craftspace.co.uk. Application forms can be found on our website. You'll also need to send an example (a link) of a participatory project you have been involved in and a project you have managed. Please tell us about the projects and your role in them. Please include your access statement, if you have one, with your application.
The deadline for applications is 9am, Monday 18th November 2024. Once the deadline has passed, we will shortlist from the applications and invite 3-4 people to attend an in-person or online interview (a BSL interpreter will be provided). We plan to hold the interviews on Friday 29th November and the role will start with a planning meeting in early December.
