Joanna Bird Contemporary Collections was founded in 1994 and exhibits outstanding work from international artists specialising in studio ceramics, studio glass, objets d’art and conceptual art. Joanna Bird trained with Michael Cardew. Now, as a curator, her particular expertise is in juxtaposing avant-garde work by living artists with examples of outstanding 20th century art. She has a distinguished reputation as an expert in her field, and lectures internationally. Private collectors and curators from museums all over the world regularly consult her on important acquisitions.
