Imogen Bright Moon
Imogen Bright Moon is a British Romani craftswoman and intersectional advocate for Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, Showmen and Boaters (GRTSB) communities. Her research has informed the Heritage Crafts Association’s 2023 Red List of Endangered Crafts and Routledge’s publication Practitioner Perspectives and Intangible Cultural Heritage (UNESCO). Imogen’s studio practice centres on ethical material narratives and themes of mental health and neurodiversity. Techniques include hand-spinning and freehand weaving. Imogen is the recipient of Gypsy Maker 5 (2022, Romani Cultural + Arts Company) and a DYCP ACE award (2023).
Jason Stocks-Young
Jason Stocks-Young founded Diamond Awl Leather Workshop, and JS-Y LEATHERWORKS in Saddleworth near Manchester. An expert artisan and teacher of traditional leatherwork, through his workshops Jason has collaborated with a varied range of organisations and events including Liverpool John Moores University (BA Hons Fashion Design students), RHS Chatsworth, The Ruskin at Lancaster Castle and the National Festival of Making in Blackburn. He is a member of The Guild Of Master Craftsmen and has contributed to panel discussions on craft education for Arts Council England. He has also been involved in several TV shows celebrating craft, heritage and making, including BBC1 Made in Great Britain and The Saved and Remade Workshop.
