Fascinated by process, Thrown seeks out distinctive contemporary art in its many forms with a particular focus on clay. The gallery represents internationally acclaimed names alongside emerging talent, providing a much-needed platform for makers finding their identity as artists. The gallery was set up in London in 2018 by Claire Pearce who, after graduating with a degree in architecture, has worked in galleries across the UK. Five years spent in St Ives, Cornwall, first introduced her to ceramic as an art form, which has remained a passion ever since.
