Joanna Bird Contemporary Collections was founded in 1994. The London gallery exhibits outstanding work from international artists specialising in studio ceramics, studio glass, objets d’art and conceptual art.
Joanna Bird initially trained with Michael Cardew. Now, as a curator, her particular expertise is in juxtaposing avant-garde work from living artists with examples of outstanding 20th-century art. She has a distinguished reputation as an expert in her field and is regularly consulted by private collectors and curators from museums all over the world on important acquisitions and commissions.
Joanna Bird has a gallery in Chiswick where work can be viewed in a domestic setting. Evening events, including presentations and artist talks, are frequently held at the gallery in association with the Joanna Bird Foundation.
