BR Gallery was founded in 2018 to champion highly skilled Chinese artists working with metal and is the only gallery in Mainland China focusing on contemporary metal objects. Its mission is to focus on regional craftmaking traditions and modern technologies to create contemporary metal objects and jewellery that explore universal narratives about the past and present.
At the 2023 and 2024 Collect fairs, four Chinese artists’ works were acquired by the V&A and National Museums NI. This year, BR Gallery expands its horizons by showcasing exceptional work not only from Chinese and British artists but also, for the first time, from Japanese artists.
