Natalie McCormack is a woven textile designer who encapsulates the beauty of British-grown natural dyes. Using only organic fibres, she creates biodegradable artworks and textile collections using colours from her Seasonal Natural Dye Library. This connects colours to plants and seasons as they naturally change throughout the year. Harmony will be the designer’s largest artwork to date as she explores a new genre of work linking natural dyes to both the seasons and locations depicted. Harmony is based on Ilkley Moor in autumn and winter, which is reflected in the dye materials foraged and the scene depicted. McCormack’s aim is to showcase the harmony that can be created between nature and colour to create a sustainable future.
