For Collect 24, 155A Gallery has curated a show with two ceramic artists showcasing their extensive knowledge of material and technique. Sculptures by Dan Kelly express the physical possibilities through the use of ceramic on the wheel, which he couples with gestural surface treatment. For Jim Gladwin, individual ceramic 'Stix' from different geographical locations will be shown en masse in a large wall installation, to illustrate and contrast the inherent properties that lie within the pure state of clay itself.
155A Gallery also shares a small selection of late works by Steve Buck, a talented and acclaimed artist (b.1949 - d.2021). He regarded the vessel as one of the purest of sculptural forms, using it to explore ideas of interiority, both literal and metaphorical.
Established in 2018, 155A Gallery collaborates with distinguished British and international contemporary artists. Based in East Dulwich, South London, the gallery prides itself on local connections and has an established client base worldwide.
