Founded in 2012, Maud & Mabel is a contemporary gallery with a focus on traditional craftsmanship in every guise, from ceramics and wood to glass, textiles and precious metals and stone, seeking new and emerging talents to show alongside renowned artists. Since its inception, Maud & Mabel has formed relationships with over 90 artists from around the world and proudly brings together their works with mindful attention to the stories and ambience of each piece.
Guided by the Japanese aesthetic theory of shibumi and a sustained meditation on works both sculptural and functional, the intimate gallery space is carefully curated to exhibit pieces uniting contemporary aesthetics and innovation with techniques and processes rooted in craft traditions.
