Cornucopia
A range of jewellery made from recycled sterling silver sheet by the technique of anticlastic raising, which makes it strong but light and easy to wear. These pieces are characterised by curls and twists, a hammered texture, burnished edges and satiny finish. They are jewellery for a special occasion or a special gift.

One of my favourite pieces. Sometimes a design just appears in my head and feels absolutely right even before I make it. This is such a piece. It seemed so obvious as soon as I thought of it and it still gives me enormous pleasure. It is made from a single piece of silver, hammer-forged to graduate the thickness and give a pleasing texture, and formed by anticlastic raising over a nylon former. The two ends are twisted around each other. The inside surface is plated with yellow gold. It measures about 6.5cm x 1.5cm. I also make this piece in a smaller size (c. 4.7cm x 1cm), and both sizes also come in plain silver.
This is the smaller version of the pendant, seen below, in gold vermeil. Like the larger size, it is made of sterling silver and hangs from a sterling silver snake chain in a choice of three lengths – 16”/40cm, 18”/45cm or 20”/50cm.
This is the all-silver version of the pendant. It measures about 6.5cm x 1.5cm and has a hammered texture and satin-matte finish. It is also available in a smaller size, roughly 4.7cm x 1cm. It hangs from a sterling silver snake chain in a choice of three lengths, 16”/40cm, 18”/45cm or 20”/50cm.
This is included in the Cornucopia collection chiefly because of the hammered texture. It is made by the same method as the other pieces in the range, by hand-forging a flat silver blank to graduate the thickness and give an attractive texture before forming it over a nylon stake by the process of anticlastic raising. The inner surface is plated with 24ct yellow gold; the pendant is also available in plain silver. It measures about 2.7cm x 2.5cm. I also make it in a smaller size, about 1.9cm x 1.8cm. The smaller pendant comes in three colour options, plain silver, part gold plated (as in the image) and gold vermeil.
These studs illustrate the reason for naming the range Cornucopia, as they have the strongest resemblance to the classical horn of plenty. Each stud measures about 4.5cm in length. They are made from sterling silver and are also available part gold plated with yellow gold on the inside surface.
