My practice as a maker takes many forms, but at the core I'm interested in cultivating a culture of creativity, community and care. I enjoy the challenge of transforming what others consider "waste" materials into beautiful and practical items and in turn helping to change perceptions and behaviours around value (and values) My work can be purchased / commissioned directly at my studio-shop "Fabrications", where I also host a regular programme of workshops, events and community initiatives.
"Re Use, Re-duce & Re-New" has been a lifelong mantra for me! I have been (professionally) championing circular design and “Cradle to Cradle" principles for over 25 years. Alongside my own creative re-use practices, I am committed to passing on skills and supporting my local community through regular textile-based classes and events that focus on making, mending & upcycling, with the aim of encouraging more resourceful, mindful and joyful ways of living in harmony with each other and nature.
