Montego
The Montego project created a new version of the traditional Toile de Jouy fabric using scenes from my holiday in Jamaica. The aim was to design a tropical-inspired Toile de Jouy that captured the beauty of Jamaica. Inspired by notions of the Aesthetic Movement, such as "art for art's sake," I used my own images from Jamaica to combine the detailed patterns of Toile de Jouy with the landscapes, plants, and tourist activities of the island.
