Paper Forms About
Hannah investigates paper as a material for sculpture. Paper is both lightweight and structural, enabling the construction of textile sculptures which support themselves. It also catches and amplifies rays of light, casting crisp shadows. The work is created in layers which unfold when the textile is removed from the loom. The stripes of colour highlight the movement of threads through the piece, tracing from front to back, showing points of intersection and connection.
