During this time Verity made works in response to the buildings in the town of Skælskør, a sleepy seaside town where the houses often seemed the only strong sense of human presence. Verity was influenced by the rich colours and tiled roofs of the Danish houses and Skælskør’s shadowy dwellings in the evening.
