As a designer, she is fascinated by antique heavily decorated objects, and the way they can be weaved into current styles, shapes and trends. She combines the old with the new and examines the fine line between art and design. She enjoys working with a large variety of materials and technique such as resin, ceramic, wood and metal, to name a few.Focus:Furniture. Lighting, VasesCommissions:Available for commissionsIn the vases I create I use vintage, used & antique items. I am able to incorporate broken, chipped & even fractured items, saving these items from ending up in landfills. To connect the pieces, I use epoxy resin which isn't perfectly environmental as a material, but it means my process requires no firing, no casting & there's minimal waste. Each vase represents how we can create contemporary art from old objects, sparking conversations about reuse while celebrating both past and present.AboutDesigner Yaarit Mechany focuses on creating unique furniture, hand made vases and light fixtures, in limited edition series or small batches.
