We are delighted to announce that gallery applications for Collect Open 2021 are NOW LIVE.
The Crafts Council founded Collect in 2004 and since then it has become a major moment on the international cultural calendar. It is the only gallery-presented fair dedicated to contemporary craft and design and welcomes over 40 galleries from around the world each year.
Collect Open provides an opportunity for individual artists or collaborations to exhibit alongside world-class galleries. It welcomes and encourages thought-provoking, ambitious new proposals where individual artists or small collaborations can demonstrate how they are pushing their creativity and practice.
Many previous Collect Open exhibitors cite it as a turning point in their careers.
Like many other organisations, the Crafts Council is reviewing its programming in light of COVID 19. For now, we firmly believe it is right to support the sector and continue planning for the next edition of Collect which will take place at Somerset House from 25-28 February 2021 (Preview 24 Feb). This international event plays a crucial commercial role for galleries and artists alike in bringing the sector together.
Consequently, we are waiving the application for Collect Open. For successful applicants, there is no financial commitment towards Collect until the autumn. We will continue to monitor the situation over the summer months in order to make the best decisions about the fair and all its exhibitors.
