Sponsorships and Partnerships Account Executive
Contract and Hours
Permanent, full-time, 36.25 hours / 5 days per week, generally worked from Monday to Friday (9.15-5.30pm, including lunch break) with flexibility required for evening and weekend working as required.
Crafts Council aims to support flexible working and part time arrangements where it is appropriate for the role.
Salary
£36,000 to £40,000 gross per annum based on full-time working and depending on experience.
Location
Crafts Council Office and Gallery is based in Islington, London, with some hybrid / home working.
Role to Commence
As soon as possible.
Reporting to
Senior Development Manager
Responsible for
Liaising with colleagues to deliver and action contract requirements within partner agreements.
Working with
Internal - The immediate team comprising the Senior Development Manager and Co-ordinator, freelance support on sponsorship sales, and other consultants including bid writers. Also establishing close working relationships across teams including Executive Director, Head of Enterprise/Collect Fair Director, and other project leads.
External - External sponsors and partners (existing and prospects).
Context
Principally funded by the Arts Council, Crafts Council wishes to grow its income base over outside of this support and diversify its income sources.
We are looking for an exceptional account executive with a passion for commercial partnership working, income generation, and excellent customer service and delivery.
Commercial income generation activity and subsequent account management will operate across all our activities, for example, the annual Collect Fair, held at Somerset House, and our Young Crafts Citizen programme. This will help to fund the important work the charity achieves with the wider maker community.
About the Role
We are looking for a Sponsorship and Partnerships Account Executive who will work with our team to help define, shape and deliver the full range of commercial opportunities available to the organisation.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding ability to cultivate and maintain impactful relationships across corporate partners. You will be a team player both for internal and external partners, thriving on championing excellence and nurturing partnerships.
You will be able to demonstrate your experience of account management with corporate sponsors and partners in the cultural sector. You will be able to provide examples of successful partner identification, cultivation and delivery. You will also be an excellent communicator, able to build lasting and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Role Objectives
The postholder will work alongside the Senior Development Manager and freelance support to cultivate and secure corporate partners to increase sponsorship and partnership revenues and achieve income targets. This will involve;
- Using the knowledge of the internal project teams, research and identify a full range of commercial opportunities to map against Crafts Council activities, including, but not exclusive of, working with luxury brands, law firms, automotive, property and technology companies.
- Ensuring exemplary client customer care, communication and relationship building to ensure partnership longevity.
- Providing exceptional account management, ensuring all administrative and tracking elements of each partnership are presented in a clear, accurate and timely manner both for internal and external reporting.
- Contributing to motivating and supporting fellow team members (staff and freelance consultants) to meet income goals and cultivate strong relationships
- Contributing to our Development Committee, working with external advisors to drive revenue growth.
