Join us at the Crafts Council Gallery on Saturday 12 November from 10am-12pm for this unique workshop that pairs makers in the UK with local textile artisans working in India
In collaboration with UK India Dosti Folk Art Festival (by MITHILAsmita) on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav, India's 75th Independence Anniversary, this in-person workshop will be led by kantha artist Afruja Khatun from her village in West Bengal, India who will share traditional embroidery techniques via live streaming with participants at the Crafts Council Gallery.
Materials will be provided to each participant on the day of the workshop. Participants can arrive from 9.45am, ready for a 10am start.
