The project was facilitated by Joan Baxter, with support from Irene Evison and Anna Wetherell of Nearly Wild Weaving. The ‘Waterline’ exhibition features work from the project which was completed between September 2021 to January 2022.
Participants created their own interpretation of ‘waterline’ and designed their tapestries so that the individual pieces to hung together to tell a story. This resulted in a composite tapestry that reflects the theme of the flow of a river.
The project brought together tapestry weavers from all over the world many of which got to meet in real life at the Waterline opening in October.
