Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) is the national agency for design and craft in Ireland. It advocates for the societal benefits of craft and design, and promotes the commercial development of Irish designers and makers, stimulating innovation, championing design thinking and informing policy. DCCI established the Portfolio programme in 2005, with many of the makers in the selection achieving critical and commercial success. The practitioners on show as part of Collect 2024 have been selected through the Portfolio programme.
DCCI is proud to be based in Kilkenny, located in the South East of Ireland, a World Crafts Council craft city and region. DCCI represents artists such as Antonio Julio López Castro, Helen O’Shea, Jennifer Hickey and Mary Nagle.
