New Beltane Collection
A new collection for late Spring/Early Summer. A collection of picnics and riversides. Lying back and looking at the clouds, tea and cake with friends , feeling the grass between your toes. Fishing and floating boats. Everything is hand made. I needle felt the animals, raku fire the ceramic miniature tea sets and fish and needle punch the grass bases. Kathy Anderson stitches little felt cakes, bilberry pies in bottle top flan dishes, picnic hampers and blankets. Available May 27th on my website

The ultimate picnic!, Karin CelestineTwo needle felted mice sitting on an embroidered rug with daisies and bees, tweed backing to it and tweed cushion. They have a beautiful hand woven and stitched picnic basket, cake with a slice cut out, bilberry pie with a lot of berries baked in a bottle top, a raku fired tea set of tea pot with cast of a real flower lid, two mugs, two daisy plates, ivy leaf plate for the cake, ceramic spoon, stitched tea bag, ceramic cast of a blackberry and a raku fired ginger beer bottle with a cork and a honey pot with cork lid and a vintage map to find the best picnic spots. The blanket is on a needle punched grass base. Nothing is fixed so you can pack items in the basket which has carry handles and leather buckles to close, roll up the rug and take them out for a picnic and add to the scene as you wish. A hugely detailed piece taking weeks to make in all, the ultimate picnic set for lazy summer days by the river. One ratty and mole would be proud of. The map is of Ledbury/Malvern area but I have some other maps here so can see if I can match an area for you if I have it. The grass base is approx 20cm wide.
Bilberry pie, Karin CelestineBilberry pie anyone? Two little mice having a picnic an embroidered rug backed in tweed. It has a matching tweed cusion too. There is a picnic hamper with buckles to close and carry handles and a bilberry pie baked in a bottle top pie dish. The tea set is raku fired turquoise crackle glaze, tea pot with stitched felt tea bag, two mugs, milk jug, a tiny ceramic spoon and a daisy cast ceramic plate for a slice of pie. They also have a folded up vintage map to find the best spots of Hereford area. Everything is posable so you can pack into the basket and take out for a picnic in the woods. The rug can be rolled up too. Rug is approx 14 x 8 cm

Reading, Karin CelestineA little needle felted mouse sitting on a cotton reel with embroidered felt wrap round it. The mouse is reading a book with a pressed bluebell flower on it. I collect the bluebells trampled by the deer in the woods and press them to use as decoration, so they get their moment of beauty.
