Crafts CouncilDirectoryCelestine and the HareThe Woodland Post AboutLatest collection is a series of animals delivering the Woodland post. They have bags and caps stitched by textile artist Kathy Anderson. They can bring small gifts, or letters inside their bags. There is an accompanying post office with pigeon holes, parcels and letters. The idea being you can write notes to each other in the family, or friends, send messages, love notes, or celebrate birthdays. A parcel with a ring inside... tiny joy filled posties to encourage your sense of fun. Celestine and the HareMonmouth, WalesThe Woodland Postal Service, Karin Celestine I built a set of a post office for the Woodland Wish Postal Service, there are pigeon holes and parcels all individually addressed and labelled. Tiny letters for people to write on and put in the post bag to give to someone. The set is used to make stop motion animations and photos for the animals and also available as a commission piece.Tea break at the Woodland Postal service, Karin CelestineBadgers deliver the bigger parcels in their rucksacks. The sacks can hold a pile of notes such as treats, nice things to do or even a bucket of swears! Uniforms are stitched for me by Kathy AndersonDelivery to the clock house, Karin Celestine. I source vintage clock cases and use them to make little houses or scenes for creatures. This one has a punch needle rug with an oak leaf design on it, a hand woven basket bed from plants found local to me on my walks. There is a vintage cotton reel table with a mug and tiny candle inside an acorn cup (it works!) There is a picture on the wall of snowdrops, embroidered by textile artist Kathy Anderson and the mouse is reading a tiny scaled down copy of one of my children's books, Small finds a home. In the ceiling is a light made from a poppy seed head that has a tiny LED light in it powered by a battery pack so can be turned on and off. The clock case has a glass front so can be closed and hung on a wall or displayed on a shelf. Woodland Post mice, Karin CelestineThe post mice have little uniforms made and embroidered by my friend and textile artist Kathy Anderson. The bags can hold a small gift or a note to someone so you can send little notes to people. The parcels can contain small charms or gifts or mini chocolates! Post delivery, Karin CelestineThe Woodland Postal service deliver mail to all the creatures of the woods and if you stand by the hedge, behind the shop by the post, you too might find a post mouse.
