Thick Denim!
This super thick denim cloth was woven using a mill waste cotton from Den M Nit. The yarn had originally come from an indigo factory in Simonstown, near Blackburn, which has now shut down.
I picked it up from Fairfield yarns, a fantastic source for redundant, surplus and dead stock yarn. It was the only one there, and is possibly quite old.
It was originally a knitting yarn, and is much thicker than would normally be used for denim, but it made a great warp yarn.
