These porcelain vessels are impressed with wild flowers, different patterns and textures. Each one is individual and when illuminated with a tea light candle the textures and patterns on the surface of the porcelain are highlighted and create a beautiful flickering effect. Each night light has been glazed so that they can be used as a vase as well as a night light. They are available from my shop or online.Liz Emtage Ceramics StudioSaint Leonards, EnglandQueen Anne's Lace Night Light / Vase, Photo: Liz EmtageI love the delicacy of the Queen Anne's Lace flowers. When illuminated they become remeniscent of snow flakes - each one slightly different from it's neighbour. There is a natural variation in the amount of light emitted through the porcelain depending on the surrounding light levels.Tawny Owl Night Light / Vase, Photo: Véronique LeplatI was inspired by the strong graphic image of this lino cut and wanted to try pressing it into porcelain. I love the image of the Owl flying out into the night to hunt his prey. Lino cut created by painter and print maker Helen Murphy.Harvest Time Night Light / Vase, Photo: Véronique LeplatThis night light / vase was inspired by the frenetic movement that happens at harvest time (for animals and humans).
